2006/3/12 Blog Walking...........Lazy style!!!Weekend Blog Walk........
This Week's Topic: Ten years ago, where did you think you would be now? Where do you think you will be ten years from now?
Ten Years ago???? Ten years ago I didnt have C.R.S. Unfortunatly I now have this rare disease.........Can't Remember Shit! So 10 years ago I had one less child, I was seriously pregnant for my son, & I had 3 less step children!! Imagine how less hectic my life must have been......I must have contracted the C.R.S right around the time I contracted a new husband. Ten years from now???? Leann will be 29 years old which means I will probably be the worlds greatest step-grandma. Kelli will be 24 & hopefully asking me advise on which law firm to join. Britt will be 22 & enjoying college life. Derek will be 19 & taking Jody's football advise so he knows which college he wants to play for! Koby will be 17 and asking for my help on which girl he can bring home that his dad WONT flirt with! It wont quite be quiet at my house in 10 years (thank God) but it will be a little less chaotic. Maybe by then someone other then me will have learned how to change the toilet paper roll, unload the dishwasher without begging, & know that when someone says "put the towels in the dryer" they actually mean turn the dryer on too!!! See..........I dont have high expectations!!! 2006/3/3 Weekend Blog WalkWeekend Blog Walk, Week VI This week's topic: If you could meet anyone in the world, from the past or present (they can be dead or alive), who would it be and why? What would you say to them? If you want to take this topic a step further, talk about what you would do with this person if you had the chance to spend the day with them.
Who wouldnt want to spend the day with the classiest woman in the world? How wonderful would it be to spend time with a wonderful mother, wife, and former first lady?
She is the epitomy of how I think a woman should handle herself in public and private...................So I guess I would ask her (over a glass of wine) how she raised her children so privately , how she held her head high when her husband had an alleged affair, and how do you look beautiful & sad at the same time? After those questions were answered I would of course have to ask her what it was like to be married to a Kennedy!
Is anyone seeing the common ground here? Kennedy???? That is my daughter's name. I was sitting in the hospital waiting for my name to be called to have an ultra sound when the t.v flashed the tragedy about John Jr & his wife. I had been tossing the name Kennedy around for awhile and I decided right then and there that I was having a girl that would sport the classiest name in the world.
![]() I cried like a baby when she died because two children lost a mother and America lost a wonderful addition to our society and a true icon for little girls to look up to.
Jacqueline Bouvier KennedyJacqueline Bouvier was born on Long Island, New York, in 1929. Her parents divorced and her mother remarried to Hugh Auchincloss, a very wealthy man. Jacqueline graduated from George Washington University with a degree in French literature.
She went to work for a newspaper, taking pictures and asking people questions. During this time, she met John F. Kennedy, a young senator from Massachusetts. They were married September 12, 1953, in Rhode Island. A crowd of 3,000 people waited outside the church to see the newlyweds.
In 1957, the Kennedys had a daughter, Caroline. In 1960, John Kennedy announced he would run for President. Their son, John, was born in 1960 soon after the election. Mrs. Kennedy thought that raising her children was the most important job she had and she was careful to keep them out of the limelight.
She began the White House Historical Association and was responsible for making the White House into a living museum, with fine art. She also became famous for her sense of fashion. She traveled with the President to other countries and became popular worldwide.
On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was killed and "Jackie" became a widow at 34 years of age. She worked on the John Kennedy Library.
In 1968, she married Aristotle Onassis, a Greek shipping magnate. After he died in 1975, she began to work for a publisher in New York as a book editor. No other first lady had ever taken a full-time job after leaving the White House.
In 1994, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis died at her home in New York City, with her family, friends and the things she loved around her. She died of lymphoma, a type of cancer. She was buried beside John F. Kennedy at Arlington National Cemetery.
At her funeral, her son, John Kennedy Jr. said he and his sister had decided on three things that shaped their mother's life: love of words, love of family and love of adventure. She was, and still is, one of the most famous First Ladies in our history.
2006/3/1 High's & Low's![]() HIGHS THIS WEEK
~ My hubby made dinner for me & the kids tonight.
~ Two of my dgtrs cleaned up the kitchen without complaining. (a small miracle)
~ My hair color turned out ok. Its a little hard to get used to the brunette thing. (Hubby loves it)
~ The week is almost over!!
~ watched a really good fight on HBO Sat. night and had a relaxing fun weekend with the kids and hubby.
~ Hubby made me lunch @ his office Tuesday and we ate together. It was really nice.
~ We have exercised regularly all week.
~ LOOK......Ive had a little time to be on the computer.
~ Kelli (14yr old) brought her grades up ...thus becoming ungrounded....therefore.....she can leave the house again.
~ My hubby suprised me with a coke from Mcdonalds.
LOW'S
~ Wanting about 3 more hours in my day!
~ Brittany had to go to the E.R (but ended up being fine)
~ My cousin Kim is @ James Cancer Center right now.
~ I missed Grey's Anatomy Sunday night!!!!
2006/2/27 Monday Monday Monday![]() Of course we all know that Mondays pretty much suck right? Doesnt matter if you have all of the caffeine in the world it is just hard to get back in the swing of things after the weekend. (although I have found that a new outfit lessens the pain a little)
My weekend consisted of me bribing my children to NOT BE SICK this week!!!! Since I just started my job Im on a 90 day probationary period which means I cant miss any work or I have to start all over again on my "90days". This wouldnt be a huge deal except my benefits (which are pretty good) dont begin until the 90 days is over!
So, officially I have been working 5 weeks and every SINGLE WEEK SOMEONE has been sick. (except me)
It goes something like this.........."This is Julie,How can I help you" The voice on the other line says "Julie, this is Connie at Dereks school and he just vomited in the hallway". 'GREAT GREAT! And Im not kidding when I say that one of them has literally been sick every week. My poor mom and hubby have taken my place at home and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
So Sunday all of the kids were playing playstation and I said "look guys......I will give you each $3 if you dont get sick this week but NONE of you can get sick". Of course they all thought that was great except the 14 yr old who rolled her eyes @ the small amount of money.
Well low and behold , 7:10 am the phone rings and the ex wife is calling to tell me she is taking my step dgtr to the E.R cuz she passed out. Im thinking..........Are you kidding me??? Long story short.........The step dgtr is fine, I didnt miss any work, I got to keep my $3 (times 6)and I got a raise already cuz I think my boss thought I might decide this house will collapse without me. Little does she know...........I love watching everyone TRY to do my job and mostly I like seeing the realization in their eyes that I DID WAY TOO MUCH FOR ALL THEM.
Ill let you know if we make it through another week..............
Julie 2006/2/25 Ive Missed You All.............Weekend Blog Walk, Week V This Week's Topic: Talk about your online friends. Since I have been working full time plus some, I have found just how much I like my msn spaces friends. I actually miss all of you. I find myself wondering what everyone is doing but my "night person" always gets my "morning person" in trouble so I cant get on line. You see, that night person wants to get on line and find out what Marie is saying about U2,If Marcie has been proposed to yet ,how Saam & her dgtr are doing,if my idol Laura has been nominated for "woman of the Year" yet,how Tiff's relationship is going and when I want to feel warm & fuzzy inside I stop by Lisy's place to make sure she is still cancer free! But alas, the night person doesnt know when to hit "exit" and get off of the computer so "the morning person" is REALLY pissed off and cant get out of bed. So until those two learn to get along and play nice I will check out all of my favorite msn spaces on the weekends. Im off to visit Chrissy so I can feel young, Bartgrl so I can get motivated, Ill check out Elizabeth cuz she always makes me smile, I will go to Martaland on my way to Liz's place and today I will finish off with my aunt Pat's calming space!
There are many more new friends I have met while doing this Blog walking and I thank YOU all for stopping by & keeping me SANE!!! I hope that I occasionally return the favor.
2006/2/19 Saturdays Adventures!![]() ![]() ![]() I know you have all been waiting with baited breath to find out if the middle school boys could pull off a couple of Victory's in the tournaments Saturday havent you? Well........You are gonna have to read a little further on down cuz FIRST THINGS FIRST.......The Cambridge BoBcat Cheerleaders placed 3rd in the competition that they have been praticing their hearts out for!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() The last 5 years the middle school has taken 1st place @ this competition so the girls were a little dissapointed with a 3rd place finish but there were extinuating circumstances this year. The nut job who coaches the 20 girls forgot her medication on Saturday!!! She decided that it would be a good idea to teach the girls a new cheer/dance 2weeks ago then when it came time to "warm up" the C.D skipped and the timing was off for everyone of the cheerleaders. It was total chaos.
The girls were crying, the coaches were running around and parents were making up excuses. Personally, I told Kelli that it just showed that she & the other cheerleaders could handle adversity and still show some class. Not to mention they still beat 4 other squads!!!
Now on to the actual Tournament Boys Basketball........................
The seventh grade boys took 2nd place, losing pretty bad to what looked like a group of boys who shaved already. But the 8th grade boys CAME IN 1ST PLACE!!! Woo Hoo...........
I had so much fun watching these boys all season long play hard and ultimatly win "the Big One".
I feel like a groupie since I dont have a boy on the team but I have seen most of them grow up with my daughter & now she is cheering them on twice a week every week.
Congrats Boys!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Before we drove the hour to watch a 7th grade tournament game, a cheer competition, an 8th grade tournament game we had 3rd grade basketball too! My adorable son had his last basketball game Saturday (which he won) that involved a pizza party anda visit from the VARSITY Boys Basketball team. And for those of you who dont understand that is like a visit from the Laker's in this town. Here are some pic's of Saturday Morning.
![]() Derek is the 3rd from the left.....(red shorts).
All and all it was a fun Saturday!! We started @ 11:30 am and ended our basketball fun in St Clairsville @ 9:30 pm. That makes for tired kids, and sore butts for aunt Pat & uncle Cliff. :} 2006/2/18 Weekend Blog WalkWeekend Blog Walk, Week IV
This Week's Topic: What do you like to do in your spare time (hobbies, interests, pass-times)? Im not really sure I remember what hobbies are.....can someone remind me?? Does running to Wal~mart @ 11:30 on a Thursday night for Valentines stuff count? If it doesnt, then I guess I can reach back in the cob webs of my brain and try to remember what I used to do in my spare time. I love to scrapbook, read, jog, watch football & play on the computer. My all time favorite past time is watching my kids participate in their various sporting activities though. (Giving me plenty of items for the scrapbooks) There is nothing better than watching your childs team sweat to a hard earned victory. I dont even mind the occasional loss as long as everyone has a good time and..... I had to work so I didnt have to actually see it............Im KIDDING@@@@. I do however try to use the heartbreaking losses as a learning tool for everyone. So, in the spirit of past times and sports I say GO BOBCATS!! The 8th grade boys basketball tournaments are being held and my daughter will be cheering them on to a victory. There is also a big cheer competition earlier in the day that the girls have been working very hard on so lets all hope for a 1st place trophy to bring home!!! 2006/2/13 A letter to My Valentine............![]() Jody,

Angie S.........My best friend in the whole world.
I am one of the luckiest women in the world when it comes to friends. Not only have I had Angie since Jr.High I have several friends who are so wonderful..........Chrissy,Steph,Jodi,Alison,Kim,Lisha,Jo & Maryanne are just a few that I talk to almost daily. (before the job) They all have been there for me through thick & thin and I would trust EACH of them with my husband NAKED. Now that says something dont you think? (Couple of them have seen him naked already but that is a whole other story They have each taught me something about being a good friend too and I love them all soooo much. I cant imagine my life without them. I am very thankful. Friends are a VERY important part of my life. I truly believe that God blesses us with these wonderful women to keep us sane and they....at least my friends......help with the parts of life that MEN just dont get! Lord knows theres is a lot they dont get too....lol. Without girlfriends who would we complain about our hubbys to? Who would tell us when we REALLY DO look fat in those jeans?
ALthough I do consider my husband my best friend ......these women that I have listed are right up there in the ' till death do us part' of my life. There are even a couple I didnt list cuz they moved away and I dont get to talk to them as often as I would like...(Sam & Heidi) . Plus I have tons more friends that I have been VEry close to and for one reason or another we have drifted apart and arent in my every day life but they are still FRIENDS!!! I LOVE ALL OF THEM...........Wendy,Robin,Lynn,Staci,Heather.

2006/2/1 Blog Walk WednesdayBlog Walk Topic:
If you were a candy conversation heart, what would yours say?? Why??
This one is easy for me.......I would like to be the whole bag because I love candy, I love Valentines day,and I would like to be any of the messages on the hearts.
I have missed my blogging days like you would not believe! Bare with me and please keep stopping by my little space so I feel loved. Luckily I have a wonderful husband (check with me in a week & we will see if I still feel this way) who has been helping me a lot. He gets the kids on the bus in the morning and so far (it is only Wednesday) has completed all of the chores that I leave for him. I have spoiled him rotten so just picking up his clothes off of the bathroom floor is an accomplishment!!! The kids have had a babysitter 2 x's a week and so far they love him. They also have lots of chores now!!! Yippeeeeeee
I, on the other hand............have done WAY LESS work than I ever have. I love it!!! I have got WAY more sleep too. Due to the fact that I dont blog anymore...:} 2006/1/28 Thank You.......![]() I just wanted to Thank all of you who have come from my other space! I really appreciate your support & am so glad you took the time to visit me here too.
I am currently in the blogging protection plan provided by none other than myself.
The reason for this relocation is my ex hubby. Its not a huge deal or anything, I cant give you some Jerry Springer like episode ...........More like Dr.Phil! My ex continues to tell people (bloggy style) that I fabricate some fairy tell life on MSN and make him look bad. Obviously there are numerous reasons why this is crazy......#1. Some of my best friends in my hometown read this blog regularly. Dont you think they might think I was a little looney if I was making things up? #2 WHO CARES if I am lying? Do you guys who are reading this right now really give two sh*ts if Im NOT really a mom of 6 or happily married? NOPE...probably not. None of us really know the "real" us ....we just share what we want to share. Isnt that the reason we have this little corner of the internet? #3 You can right now hit this link & go see for yourself that I DONT talk bad about the ex on my site. I DO ocassionally include him in a story but I can HONESTLY say that I dont fabricate any of it. Our preceptions are just way off I guess. (maybe thats why we arent married anymore.) http://spaces.msn.com/members/momofsix
So long story short..............I just want to enjoy this space & I dont want him looking around if I can help it. I want to talk about my new job, my sex life, my crazy weekends, where I spend my money and all of that stuff without feeling like I have to censor it.
Please feel free to add me to your space cuz he doesnt blog hop..............he just likes mine
Thanks a ton blogging buddies!
You are the best.
