2006/3/12 Blog Walking...........Lazy style!!!Weekend Blog Walk........
This Week's Topic: Ten years ago, where did you think you would be now? Where do you think you will be ten years from now?
Ten Years ago???? Ten years ago I didnt have C.R.S. Unfortunatly I now have this rare disease.........Can't Remember Shit! So 10 years ago I had one less child, I was seriously pregnant for my son, & I had 3 less step children!! Imagine how less hectic my life must have been......I must have contracted the C.R.S right around the time I contracted a new husband. Ten years from now???? Leann will be 29 years old which means I will probably be the worlds greatest step-grandma. Kelli will be 24 & hopefully asking me advise on which law firm to join. Britt will be 22 & enjoying college life. Derek will be 19 & taking Jody's football advise so he knows which college he wants to play for! Koby will be 17 and asking for my help on which girl he can bring home that his dad WONT flirt with! It wont quite be quiet at my house in 10 years (thank God) but it will be a little less chaotic. Maybe by then someone other then me will have learned how to change the toilet paper roll, unload the dishwasher without begging, & know that when someone says "put the towels in the dryer" they actually mean turn the dryer on too!!! See..........I dont have high expectations!!! 2006/3/3 Weekend Blog WalkWeekend Blog Walk, Week VI This week's topic: If you could meet anyone in the world, from the past or present (they can be dead or alive), who would it be and why? What would you say to them? If you want to take this topic a step further, talk about what you would do with this person if you had the chance to spend the day with them.
Who wouldnt want to spend the day with the classiest woman in the world? How wonderful would it be to spend time with a wonderful mother, wife, and former first lady?
She is the epitomy of how I think a woman should handle herself in public and private...................So I guess I would ask her (over a glass of wine) how she raised her children so privately , how she held her head high when her husband had an alleged affair, and how do you look beautiful & sad at the same time? After those questions were answered I would of course have to ask her what it was like to be married to a Kennedy!
Is anyone seeing the common ground here? Kennedy???? That is my daughter's name. I was sitting in the hospital waiting for my name to be called to have an ultra sound when the t.v flashed the tragedy about John Jr & his wife. I had been tossing the name Kennedy around for awhile and I decided right then and there that I was having a girl that would sport the classiest name in the world.
![]() I cried like a baby when she died because two children lost a mother and America lost a wonderful addition to our society and a true icon for little girls to look up to.
Jacqueline Bouvier KennedyJacqueline Bouvier was born on Long Island, New York, in 1929. Her parents divorced and her mother remarried to Hugh Auchincloss, a very wealthy man. Jacqueline graduated from George Washington University with a degree in French literature.
She went to work for a newspaper, taking pictures and asking people questions. During this time, she met John F. Kennedy, a young senator from Massachusetts. They were married September 12, 1953, in Rhode Island. A crowd of 3,000 people waited outside the church to see the newlyweds.
In 1957, the Kennedys had a daughter, Caroline. In 1960, John Kennedy announced he would run for President. Their son, John, was born in 1960 soon after the election. Mrs. Kennedy thought that raising her children was the most important job she had and she was careful to keep them out of the limelight.
She began the White House Historical Association and was responsible for making the White House into a living museum, with fine art. She also became famous for her sense of fashion. She traveled with the President to other countries and became popular worldwide.
On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was killed and "Jackie" became a widow at 34 years of age. She worked on the John Kennedy Library.
In 1968, she married Aristotle Onassis, a Greek shipping magnate. After he died in 1975, she began to work for a publisher in New York as a book editor. No other first lady had ever taken a full-time job after leaving the White House.
In 1994, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis died at her home in New York City, with her family, friends and the things she loved around her. She died of lymphoma, a type of cancer. She was buried beside John F. Kennedy at Arlington National Cemetery.
At her funeral, her son, John Kennedy Jr. said he and his sister had decided on three things that shaped their mother's life: love of words, love of family and love of adventure. She was, and still is, one of the most famous First Ladies in our history.

2006/2/27 Monday Monday Monday![]() Of course we all know that Mondays pretty much suck right? Doesnt matter if you have all of the caffeine in the world it is just hard to get back in the swing of things after the weekend. (although I have found that a new outfit lessens the pain a little)
My weekend consisted of me bribing my children to NOT BE SICK this week!!!! Since I just started my job Im on a 90 day probationary period which means I cant miss any work or I have to start all over again on my "90days". This wouldnt be a huge deal except my benefits (which are pretty good) dont begin until the 90 days is over!
So, officially I have been working 5 weeks and every SINGLE WEEK SOMEONE has been sick. (except me)
It goes something like this.........."This is Julie,How can I help you" The voice on the other line says "Julie, this is Connie at Dereks school and he just vomited in the hallway". 'GREAT GREAT! And Im not kidding when I say that one of them has literally been sick every week. My poor mom and hubby have taken my place at home and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
So Sunday all of the kids were playing playstation and I said "look guys......I will give you each $3 if you dont get sick this week but NONE of you can get sick". Of course they all thought that was great except the 14 yr old who rolled her eyes @ the small amount of money.
Well low and behold , 7:10 am the phone rings and the ex wife is calling to tell me she is taking my step dgtr to the E.R cuz she passed out. Im thinking..........Are you kidding me??? Long story short.........The step dgtr is fine, I didnt miss any work, I got to keep my $3 (times 6)and I got a raise already cuz I think my boss thought I might decide this house will collapse without me. Little does she know...........I love watching everyone TRY to do my job and mostly I like seeing the realization in their eyes that I DID WAY TOO MUCH FOR ALL THEM.
Ill let you know if we make it through another week..............
